Challenge

To increase the skills & capabilities of the lean professionals and participants in Kaizen events thereby accelerating the quantity and quality of continuous improvement events conducted.

Actions

A cross-functional team of departments was formed, which led to the analysis of the current state Kaizen approaches, and the development of a proprietary methodology-future state that included tools, templates, examples, and a training curriculum for all staff and leaders across the organization.

Results

More consistent Kaizen events, improved skills for lean facilitators, and a standard approach for facilitators that led to an increase in the number of continuous improvement events.
